Places to explore in LincolnshireEngland · East Midlands

Big skies and flat, fertile land run through Lincolnshire, from reclaimed Fen in the south to salt marsh along the North Sea and the chalk Lincolnshire Wolds rising as the county's only real hills. Lincoln stands on a limestone scarp above it all, its Norman cathedral once the tallest building in the world. The coast draws naturalists to the grey seal colony at Donna Nook and the dunes of Gibraltar Point. Inland, the brick tower of Tattershall Castle rises from the plain, and Isaac Newton was born at Woolsthorpe Manor.
