The Meadows, Stamford
Local highlightApproximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.
Come for the view. From the water-meadows along the Welland you get the classic prospect of Stamford — church spires and honey-coloured limestone rising across the river. The Meadows themselves are open grassland, grazed and freely walkable, a few minutes’ stroll from the town centre. Stamford station stands right beside them.
