The creamy limestone quarried around Ketton has built far more than the village itself: Ketton stone faces the Wren Library at Trinity and a string of other Cambridge colleges. The working quarry still feeds the Ketton cement works, going since 1928, while the village sits neatly along the little River Chater. Stamford station is about 5km to the east.
