Mountain’s has been butchering in Boston since 1852, and since the 1980s has concentrated on the herby Lincolnshire sausage it’s named for, along with hand-raised pork pies and haslet. Still run by the fourth generation of the family, it sells from its shop in the town and a farm shop out at East Heckington. Boston station is about half a kilometre from the shop.
