A vicar opened the Cross Keys in 1706, the story goes, to keep an eye on how much his parishioners were drinking. It stands at the top of tiny Grasby on a Wolds ridge, with a rear veranda looking out across the hills to Lincoln Cathedral on the skyline, and the Viking Way passes close by. Barnetby station is about 6km to the north-west.
