The eight-sailed mill at Heckington is the only one of its kind left standing in the country. Built in 1830 with five sails, it was rebuilt in 1892 with eight, using gear salvaged from a Boston mill. It grinds wholemeal and white flour for the shop and malt for the Eight Sail Brewery next door, and stands right beside the station in Heckington.
