A small two-roomed local by the green in Tetford, this 18th-century pub keeps changing regional ales and a real cider on the bar. The village lies in the southern Wolds close to Somersby, where Tennyson was born. It’s the White Hart across the village, not the Nag’s Head, that carries the old Dr Johnson association, but this is the friendlier drinkers’ pub of the two.
