A five-sailed tower mill has turned on the edge of Alford since 1837, the work of local millwright John Oxley. Seven storeys of black-tarred brick, it still grinds organic flour for sale, with a tearoom and shop in the yard below. It opens on advertised days through the year, close to the market square in Alford itself.
