Easton Hall was pulled down in 1951 and its gardens left to brambles for half a century. Ursula and Fred Cholmeley began clearing the twelve acres in 2001, and the terraces, meadows and cut-flower borders that emerged from under the wilderness are open seasonally now. Easton is best known for its sweet peas — more than forty varieties, some bred here on site. Grantham station is about 9km north.
