Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes NNR
Local highlightThis national nature reserve runs for several miles along the coast north of Mablethorpe: a ribbon of sand dunes, saltmarsh and freshwater marsh behind the beach. It’s a stronghold of the natterjack toad, and the damp dune slacks carry marsh orchids in early summer. Open access on foot, with car parks along the Saltfleet–Theddlethorpe road, and good birdwatching over the marsh.
