The ferry boats that once crossed the Trent from Owston Ferry landed close to this pub, which still looks out over the water from the west bank in the Isle of Axholme. It’s stayed in the same family for more than sixty years, with a riverside restaurant and outdoor tables facing the levels across the river. Gainsborough Central station is about 10km to the south.
