All Saints Church, Holbeach
All Saints went up in one Decorated push between about 1335 and 1370, and its recessed octagonal spire climbs to roughly 180ft over the flat South Holland farmland. The turreted south porch is a later addition, long said to reuse stone from a demolished castle at nearby Moulton. Inside, the armoured effigy of Sir Humphrey Littlebury, who died in 1365, lies on a richly carved tomb. Open to visitors; Spalding station is about 12km west.
