A genuinely family-run restaurant with rooms, Gordon’s has been going for more than thirty years in a Victorian terrace in the Angus village of Inverkeilor, with chef Garry Watson at the stove and Maria front of house. The cooking is Franco-Scottish and seasonal, making the most of the local larder. It sits handily inland of the coast: combine a meal with a walk to Red Castle above Lunan Bay, or the broad sands of the bay itself, a few miles north-east.
