Hospitalfield is a Victorian arts house on the edge of Arbroath, and its walled garden was replanted in 2021 to a naturalistic design by Nigel Dunnett, laying out 800 years of gardening history on the site. The garden runs on a seasonal timetable — ticketed roughly April to October, free in the winter months — and there’s a café and gallery in the house. The station is about twenty minutes’ walk.
