East Haven is a small, tidy beach on the Angus coast between Carnoustie and Arbroath, cared for by the local community and often turning up on award lists for how well it’s looked after. It’s free, quiet, and good for a stretch of the legs and a paddle away from the busier town beaches. Carnoustie station is about 3km down the coast to the south-west.
