Barry Mill is a working meal watermill just north of Carnoustie, cared for by the National Trust for Scotland. There’s been a mill on this spot for centuries; the present stone building dates from the 19th century and still grinds oatmeal when the wheel is turning. Entry is paid, and it’s worth timing your visit for a milling demonstration. Barry Links station is about 1.5km to the south-east.
