Right on the shore at Arbroath, The Old Brewhouse is a seafront pub and restaurant with sea views from the front tables. Seafood is the thing here — local smokies, mussels and fish landed nearby — alongside the usual pub food and a decent pint. A good spot to eat after a walk along the harbour or up the cliffs towards Auchmithie. The station is about ten minutes’ walk away.
