Brechin Cathedral and Round Tower
The round tower here is the reason to come: a tall, slender Irish-style bell tower, built around 1000 AD, one of only two survivors of its kind in Scotland. It stands attached to Brechin Cathedral, a working parish church with medieval fabric under later restoration. Both sit together in the middle of Brechin, open to visitors and free to enter.
