Charleton Fruit Farm sits just outside Montrose and runs as a pick-your-own and farm shop through the summer, roughly July to October, selling fruit, bread, jams and meat. Come in season and you can fill a punnet of berries yourself, or just raid the shop. Worth checking they’re open before a special trip, as the season is short. Montrose station is about 3km to the south.
