The great view from Seaton is the Welland Viaduct striding across the valley below, 82 brick arches running for more than three-quarters of a mile, the longest masonry viaduct across a valley in Britain. It was finished around 1878 to carry the Midland Railway between here and Harringworth, and still does. The village itself is a small hilltop place of a couple of hundred people. Corby is the nearest station, roughly 10km south.
