Romaldkirk spreads over three greens, still with their old stocks and a water pump, a well-kept Teesdale village with a big medieval church sometimes called the Cathedral of the Dale. The Rose and Crown, an old coaching inn, sits at its heart and is the reason many people come. Cotherstone and Barnard Castle are close by.
