Barnard Castle Farmers' Market
Held on the first Saturday of the month, Barnard Castle Farmers’ Market is one of the North East’s busiest, filling the market town with stalls of Teesdale food, drink and crafts. It’s a good chance to pick up local cheese, meat and baking from the producers themselves. Bishop Auckland is the nearest station, about 20km away, so most people come by car.
