Fancy a really good meal in the middle of the Bowland fells? Newton-in-Bowland is home to the Parkers Arms, a country pub with a big reputation for its cooking and especially its pies. The village itself is a small, pretty huddle of houses by the River Hodder, deep in remote walking country. Clitheroe station is about 10km to the south-east, so most people arrive by car.
