Home to the Parker family for over five centuries, Browsholme Hall is a handsome Tudor-fronted house tucked into the lanes near Bashall Eaves. It’s still lived in, and opens for tours and events on set dates through the year, so check ahead before setting off. Pronounced “Brooze-lum”, if you want to sound like a local. Clitheroe station is about 5km to the south-east.
