One of the country’s most acclaimed pub kitchens sits in an unlikely spot: the Parkers Arms, on the Hodder’s bank at Newton-in-Bowland. It topped the UK’s Top 50 Gastropubs list in 2023 and is known for its pies and game, all built on local Bowland produce, so booking is essential. The Inn at Whitewell is just up the valley; Clitheroe station is about 10km south-east.
