On the hill above Bourn stands Bourn Windmill, an open trestle post mill counted among the oldest surviving in England, the great timber of its main post felled in Tudor times. The village below keeps a quiet green and an old watermill, in gently rolling country west of Cambridge. The Willow Tree is the pub.
