Great Gransden is among the oldest post mills in England, built around 1612 and restored on its trestle above the village — a claim to seniority it shares with nearby Bourn. It keeps its old internal machinery and sails, and has recently come through a major repair programme. Open by arrangement and on advertised days; St Neots station is about 9km to the north-west.
