One of the old coaching inns on the Great North Road, the George stands on Buckden high street where the York-to-London coaches once changed horses. The 18th-century frontage hides galleried courtyard ranges behind, and it now runs as a hotel with a brasserie and rooms round the yard. A useful base for the villages between Huntingdon and St Neots.
