The Punchbowl is a deep glacial hollow scooped into the eastern flank of the Blorenge, holding a small lake ringed by gnarled old beech pollards. It’s a Woodland Trust site, quiet and easily reached on foot from the lane above. Open access. Abergavenny station is around 3km to the north-east.
