The gardens and parkland of the Llanover estate, on the Usk south of Abergavenny, are tied to Lady Llanover — the 19th-century patron of Welsh language, music and dress who shaped the estate and village. Old trees, a walled garden and water gardens survive, and the grounds open on occasional days through the year. The estate church of St Bartholomew stands nearby.
