Llanover is an estate village on the Usk below Abergavenny, tied to Lady Llanover — Augusta Hall — who in the 19th century championed the Welsh language, the triple harp and the “national costume” now taken as traditional Welsh dress. The estate’s garden, with its arboretum and water channels, opens on selected days. Abergavenny station is about 5km north.
