Usk is a small town on the river it’s named for, crossed by an old arched stone bridge, with a ruined castle on the slope above and a Norman priory church below. It has a long record in Britain in Bloom, and the streets fill with hanging baskets and tubs through summer. The Nag’s Head faces the square in the middle of town.
