The Clydach Gorge is a steep, wooded ravine cut by the River Clydach as it drops between Brynmawr and Abergavenny. Waterfalls and cascades run down through hanging beechwoods, threaded by old tramroads and lime kilns left from its ironworking past. Open access, with paths dropping in from the valley road. It sits on the eastern edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog.
