Trading as a coaching inn since 1432, the Bear stands on Crickhowell’s High Street and has twice been named Best Pub in Britain. Behind the cobbled front there’s a beamed, fire-warmed bar, a well-regarded restaurant and rooms upstairs. It’s a natural base for the hills around Crickhowell; Abergavenny station is about 10km to the south-east.
