Crich Tramway Village is the National Tramway Museum, set on a hillside above the Derwent. More than sixty vintage trams — from Blackpool, Glasgow, London and beyond — run through a recreated period street and out into open country, and your ticket lets you ride all day. The street is rebuilt from buildings salvaged around the country, with a pub, sweet shop and working depots. Whatstandwell station is about 1.5km down the hill.
