White Peak set up in 2016 in the old Johnson & Nephew wire works beside the Derwent at Ambergate, and calls itself the first full-scale craft distillery in the Peak District. It makes Wire Works single malt whisky, Shining Cliff gin and a cask-aged rum, and runs tasting tours of the site. Ambergate station is a short walk away, about 1km.
