Amber Valley Vineyards is a family-run vineyard and heritage apple orchard at Wessington, on the eastern edge of the Peak. Booked tours walk the vines and end in a tasting, and a cellar-door bar in the former stables pours the wines and a cider pressed from the orchard’s own apples — you can sit out among the trees, or by the log burner when the weather turns. Alfreton station is about 4.5km east.
