The highest pub in southern England, the Warren House Inn stands alone on the open moor above Postbridge at around 434m. A fire in its hearth is said to have burned without going out since 1845, when embers were carried across from an older inn opposite. It’s a welcome sight for walkers and drivers crossing the moor between Postbridge and Moretonhampstead. Open to all.
