A broad granite church at the heart of Chagford, one of Dartmoor’s old stannary towns where tin was weighed and taxed. St Michael’s is built in the same moorstone as the town around it, with a wide churchyard and moor views beyond. Worth a look while wandering the square and its shops. Usually open in daylight hours.
