A thatched Dartmoor-edge inn famous for beer poured from a back tap room, and for Mabel Mudge, who kept it for 75 years and remains the country’s longest-serving landlady; closed in 2022, it was bought and reopened by the local community in 2024. The Two Moors Way passes the door, and Lutyens’ Castle Drogo stands a mile off for a fine day out.
