Come to Dunsford in the second half of March, when the woods at nearby Steps Bridge fill with wild daffodils: the Devon Wildlife Trust reserve on the Teign here is one of the best places in the south-west to see them. The village itself is thatch, cob and moorstone on a wooded hill at Dartmoor’s north-east edge. Yeoford station is around 9km north.
