Ancient granite-slab bridge over the East Dart.
The clapper bridge at Postbridge is the best-known on Dartmoor: huge granite slabs laid across stone piers over the East Dart, probably built in medieval times for packhorses carrying tin. It stands beside the modern road bridge, and you can walk straight onto it. There’s a car park and a small information point in the village. Warren House Inn, the high moor pub, is a few miles to the north-east.
