The Crown sits at Pantygelli, in the lane country north of Abergavenny between the Sugar Loaf and the Skirrid. A well-kept country pub with real ales and food, it’s a natural halt for walkers coming off either hill. Abergavenny station is about 4km south, which makes it one of the easier Monmouthshire pubs to reach without a car.
