St Teilo’s sits on the northern edge of Abergavenny at Llantilio Pertholey, on a site of early Christian worship — the name Llantilio marks it for the Welsh saint Teilo. The medieval church grew piecemeal over the centuries, with added aisles and chapels giving it an irregular, much-extended plan. Abergavenny station is under 3km to the south.
