Stydd Gardens is a walled nursery on a quiet lane outside Ribchester, with plants for sale, a farm shop and a café — an easy, pleasant stop rather than a grand day out. The lovely little Norman chapel of St Saviour’s is right next door, so it’s worth doing both together. Ramsgreave & Wilpshire station is about 5km to the south-east.
