All Hallows sits on a rise above the meeting of the Ribble and Hodder at Great Mitton, a Grade I church best known for its Shireburn Chapel. Behind the screen you’ll find the family’s tombs and monuments, running from the late 1500s to the early 1700s, with some beautifully carved effigies. The medieval body of the church is worth a look too. It’s usually open to visitors during the day, and Whalley station is about 3km to the south-east.
