The oldest church in Warwickshire, with a stone tower whose lower stages are Saxon, raised over the crossing before the Norman Conquest. Later medieval builders added around it, but the tower base still shelters a quiet chapel known as the Saxon Sanctuary. It stands above the Alne valley in Wootton Wawen, and the station of the same name is barely 500m away.
