All Saints at Siddington is one of Cheshire’s black-and-white timber churches, consecrated in 1521. The old oak frame bulged over the centuries and was cased in brick around 1815, with the west wall cleverly painted to keep the striped look. It stands in the village of Siddington, an easy pairing with the lakeside gardens at Capesthorne Hall just up the road. Usually open to visitors.
