Cors Fochno, or Borth Bog, is one of the largest intact raised bogs left in Britain, spreading behind the village of Borth as part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve. A boardwalk lets you get out onto the bog surface without sinking into the sphagnum and bog plants. It’s a rare, spongy habitat and a quiet one; Borth station is a short way off, near the sea end.
