Constitution Hill rises at the north end of Aberystwyth promenade, climbed by a cliff railway that opened in 1896 and is the second-longest funicular in Britain, after Lynton and Lynmouth. At the top there’s a camera obscura and a long view down the Cardigan Bay coast. You can walk up instead of riding, and carry on along the coast path to Clarach. The railway runs seasonally.
